What We Do

The Hope Center for Autism is a public charter school within the Martin County School District educating children from prekindergarten through 6th grade.  We provide a education using evidence-based supports infused through a system of continuous progress monitoring to ensure our students are able to achieve their full potential.  Our goal is not to keep our students, but to instead open the doors they need to be successful in less restrictive environments.  Through frequent collaboration and shared professional development with the school district we are able to provide our students with the skills needed to transition to a less restrictive setting while also being on track academically for that transition.

Teaching Excellence

The Hope Center offers a public charter school for children with autism and related disabilities in Pre-K through grade three. The Hope Center offers a curriculum guided by the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and utilizes low staff to student ratios to provide an individualized, comprehensive, and intensive educational program for each of our students.

Supplies Wishlist

All of our individual education plans are overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and implemented by a teacher certified in Exceptional Student Education and trained and experienced paraprofessionals and therapists.

The Hope Center is a public school, and therefore does not charge tuition. Similar private schools charge upwards of $50,000 per year.

Check out the information listed on the Adult Supports page of our website to learn more about services available.  Some of our staff, and most of our board members, have faced the transition from a child with autism to now having an adult with autism.

A Message From

Our Executive Director

The Hope Center for Autism opened its doors to Martin County about 14 years ago through the efforts of a small group of parents who wanted a place where they could find hope for a positive future for their children with autism.  Today, The Hope Center continues to provide a place for families to find hope as well as those living with autism outside of our school family.  We recognize the needs that our community is facing as the population of people affected with autism continues to grow.  Recent studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association show that the prevalence of autism in Florida is estimated at 1 in 21.  The time to act is now.  Through social groups, parent training, community awareness and an exceptional individualized educational program, we will meet the growing needs in our community.  I welcome you to come visit our school and see the supports we have to offer.  The Hope Center is providing HOPE to people living with autism on the Treasure Coast.
